One multi-city holiday celebration — non-members welcome
Members and guests from all three chapters — Austin, Dallas and Houston — come together for our year-end celebration. Non-members are welcome to join us for the dinner and the after-dinner celebration: come meet the network and enjoy the evening alongside your peers and colleagues.
The Economic Club of Texas will close the year with its signature Year-End Celebration & Statewide Leadership Summit on Thursday, November 19, bringing together members and guests from Austin, Dallas and Houston for a premier statewide gathering of business and civic leaders.
The evening features a seated dinner with two moderated investor panels — one on private markets, one on public markets — followed by closing remarks and a porch reception with live music. We expect more than 120 attendees, making this one of the Club's largest and most impactful events of the year.
For guests traveling in, the Club plans to reserve approximately 25 hotel rooms, and the experience concludes Friday morning with optional golf with Alex Moffat outings before everyone heads home.

Guests are seated and welcomed by Chuck, followed by opening remarks from Austin Mayor Kirk Watson and possibly Texas Governor Greg Abbott (schedule permitting), and an introduction to the evening's program.

Mayor of Austin
Kirk Watson serves as Mayor of Austin, a role he also held from 1997 to 2001, and previously represented Central Texas in the Texas Senate. He is expected to address the Club on Austin's growth, its emergence as a financial hub and the city's partnership with the private sector.

Alex Moffat was a cast member of Saturday Night Live from 2016 to 2022. Since then, he has appeared on episodes of Billions, The Bear, Bad Monkey and Hacks. Join Alex for golf on Friday morning.
